Regional studies
Regional scheme:
RWSC (Regional Water Supply & Sanitation Committees) and VWSC (Village Water Supply and Sanitation Committees) have been constituted and notified as per provisions of Panchayat Raj Act. The State Govt. has committed to complete the unfinished works out of its own resources. The CAPs for the two schemes have been prepared. Agreements for the two MVWS have been entered. Details of the two MVWS are as below: -
- Mohammadabad-Chilli MVWS:Five villages namely Mohammadabad, Chilli, Aeri, Rampura and Kusumiliya are included in the project. Water supply exists at present in these villages but needs augmentation and reorganisation. Total present population is 11227 and the system is now designed for 16724 at the per capital supply of 70 lpcd.Cost of water supply works – 65 lakhs, Community contribution collected against capital cost – Rs.4.664 lakhs (7.18%).Unskilled labour component in project – 8.63% of capital cost.Two tubewells already exist, works proposed are construction of village OH Tanks i.e. 155 KL at 20 meter staging at Mohammadabad, 45 KL at 11 meter staging for Aeri and Rampura village, 140 KL at 13 meter staging at Kusumiliya and 60 KL at 13 meter staging at Chilli. Feeder mains from the central OH Tank at Mohammadabad will be laid to the respective village OH Tanks where from the water will be distributed through distribution mains proposed inside the village.The agreement is entered between five parties namely SO (T) - Jhansi Division Jal Sansthan, SO (C) – Bharat Gramodhyog Vikas Samiti, Orai, RWSC, five VWSCs and PMU.
- Parasan-Imiliya MVWS:Three villages namely Parasan, Imiliya and Dassheri are included in the scheme. At present there is no pipe water supply system in these villages and people meet their water demand through handpumps and open dugwells. The total present population of all the three villages is 7915 and the system is designed for a population of 11007.Cost of water supply works Rs.60.10. Community contribution against capital cost Rs.3,92,000 (6.52%)Works proposed are construction of 1000 lpm capacity tubwell and 70 KL capacity central OH Tank at the water works site. From the central overhand tank the water will be carried to the village OH tanks at Dassheri, Imiliya and Parasan of capacities 30 KL, 60 KL and 120 KL respectively. The water will be supplied inside the village through a network of distribution system for each village fed form the respective OH tanks.
The agreement entered is between four parties namely SO-Paramarth Seva Sansthan, Orai which will assist in technical as well as community works, RWSC, three VWSCs and PMU.
